Elliott Electric Supply is looking for a high-energy individual with multiple facets of talent. Candidate must have excellent social skills, a great, positive attitude and willingness to learn about real-world marketing.
Candidate will be responsible for keeping customers and employees informed of current and upcoming promotions, incentives, advertising, events and activities.
Candidate will populate our social media outlets, currently Facebook and Twitter, by producing an ongoing, engaging and professional voice for Elliott Electric Supply.
Duties include maintaining current vendor contacts and procedures for filing claims.
Candidate will assist in coordination of company-wide events, with the goal of becoming primary event coordinator. Main duties include hiring of services when needed, creating name badges, booking lodging, purchasing door prizes, assigning duties for volunteers, coordinating print collateral and filling in the details that will mesh the event together.
Help generate potential customer mailing list for new areas. Maintain and update customer contact database for accuracy.
Assist in other marketing initiatives as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to travel when necessary, minimal travel is expected for this position
Strong writing skills are a must. HTML familiarity is needed or at least a strong desire to learn basic concepts of updating web pages. Experience maintaining a social media presence with Facebook and Twitter is required, in a professional setting is preferred.
Experience coordinating professional events is a plus.
Individual must be able to handle multiple tasks to completion before deadlines on a continual basis. Candidate should have solid skills using Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
