Network Admin

Job Description:

This position will help evaluate, design, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN / WAN technologies for Elliott Electric Supply.  Day-to-day responsibilities:

Monitor all WAN and LANS and work with Telco's on any voice / data circuit issues
Help configure, install, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and phones at any of our locations
Help maintain network schematics and documentation for any changes
Assist with updating software / firmware updates on existing solutions in the field
Research and evaluate new networking technologies
Assist in planning, consulting with vendors for purchases of hardware, software and/or services
Keep current with new products for system / networking enhancements
Assist with network security support
Provide helpdesk support to our employees and customers
Participate in departmental projects as required
Effectively interface with other departments, personnel, and business contacts
Perform miscellaneous duties as required by IS management
Some travel to new and existing locations is required



CCNA Required

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking IPv4, IPv6, RIP, BGP, IGRP, EIGRP
Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, Cisco IOS, and VPNs

Experience with the following is a plus: Cisco ASA, Cisco Call-Manager, Cisco WLC for wireless access points, MPLS and QOS, Microsoft DNS, Active Directory, Cisco Prime, CUBE, and CME.

Experience in working within a Desktop Support environment is a plus

Cat5 cabling experience is a plus

Experience in using a "ticketing" system to manage workload is preferred.
