Job Description:

Support warehouse operations by delivering materials on designated routes while ensuring safe operation of vehicle.  Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders.

--Ensures merchandise to be delivered is accurate, packaged well in a manner that is suitable for delivery.

--Delivers merchandise to customers using delivery route based on efficient use of time, and customer priority decided by Supervisor.

--Drives in a careful and professional manner ensuring cargo and vehicle are protected against damage.

--Unloads truck for customers at each stop and waits for customer to verify material accuracy if needed.

--Performs daily inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle.  Notifies Warehouse Manager of any issues.

--Keeps vehicle's exterior clean and interior free of debris that could create a hazard.

- Works in warehouse performing various warehouse duties when not on delivery, per direction of Warehouse Manager

Qualifications:

--Valid drivers license with clean driving record.

--TWIC card, or ability to successfully attain one within 60 days of hire.

--5 years of delivery driver experience, driving trucks with minimum 16' beds and 19,000 lbs.

--High school diploma, some higher education desired.

--Ability to work independently and without supervision, completing a variety of tasks accurately and with close attention to detail.

--Able to read, comprehend, write, perform basic calculations, reason, and analyze.

--Ability to work in adverse weather conditions while making deliveries.

--Positive attitude and team player a must.

--Frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing on truck, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

--Handling of objects and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally 75 lbs.
