Elliott Electric Supply E-Learning Intern Job Description and Responsibilities

Internship Purpose:

The purpose of the E-Learning Internship with Elliott Electric Supply is to help students gain skills and experience beneficial in gaining employment in their field upon graduation. Internships can also lead to full-time employment with Elliott Electric Supply’s Training & Development Department.  

Job Description:

An Intern for the E-Learning Department will gain experience and receive cross training in creating E-Trainings, Webinars, Training Manuals, and assist in Filming and Editing Videos for E-Trainings. Elliott Electric Supply offers paid full time Internships at $15 per hour. Internships will typically take place during the summer break, lasting about 90 days. Candidates should express an outgoing positive attitude, strong communication skills, ability to self-motivate, desire to learn, and exhibit professional behavior.

Qualifications:

Job Responsibilities:

• Learn how to create E-Trainings using the Articulate Program. (Articulate Program is the Industry Standard)
• Learn how to create and record Webinars using Zoom.
• Assist in filming E-learning content and edit videos using Adobe Suite Programs.
• Learn how to create Training Manuals using Adobe Suite Programs.
• Crosstrain in all E-Learning Department functions and help out as needed.

Job Requirements, Experience, and Skills.

• Mass Communications Major in Junior or Senior year.
• Experience in Customer Service a plus.  
• Strong communication skills in written and verbal communications. 
• Willing to work with a team and be a team player.
• Willingness to learn.
• Work 40 hours per week during regular office hours.
• Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.
• Ability to travel out of town for one workday to assist in gathering E-learning content.
